Monmouth County History Regrant Program
for General Operating Support & Special Projects
The Monmouth County Historical Commission (MCHC) offers a competitive
History Regrant Program to support and enrich Monmouth County's historical
heritage. Funded by the New Jersey Historical Commission, the program aims to
strengthen local history organizations, foster public engagement and preserve
the county's rich history.
Two types of grants are available for the 2027 program cycle:
- General Operating Support (GOS): Provides funding for the core operations of nonprofit historical organizations.
*New - No match is required for GOS grant requests under $2,000
- Special Project (SP): Supports public-facing history projects and programs undertaken by history organizations, other nonprofits, government agencies, schools and libraries.
Grant Workshop
There will be a grant information session on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 6 p.m. (virtual and in-person)
First time applicants MUST attend. Previous applicants are strongly encouraged to attend due to changes in this year's application.
