The Monmouth County Transportation Council is an advisory committee to the Monmouth County Planning Board. Council duties include:

Advising the Monmouth County Planning Board on all aspects of transportation planning related to the county and region.

Form subcommittees as needed to advise the Planning Board of specific transportation issues.

Provide a forum for the public, municipalities, local and regional organizations and other interested individuals to discuss transportation issues affecting the county.

Assist the Monmouth County Planning Board in identifying problems and issues and educate the general public on regional transportation issues.

Serve as a resource to the Monmouth County Planning Board for transportation projects.

Carry out other tasks as deemed necessary by the Monmouth County Planning Board and the council.

Coordinate with neighboring counties on issues of concern to the council.

Perform such other activities and duties as may from time to time be delegated to the council by the Monmouth County Planning Board.
