Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon issues Veteran’s ID cards as a way to honor and identify those Monmouth County residents who served our country in active military duty.
Getting a Veteran’s ID card is fast and easy, and there is no cost.
Just bring in your NJ Driver’s License and ORIGINAL DD-214 “Report of Separation” to the Clerk’s Freehold office or the Neptune Monmouth County Connection. (We cannot use a photocopy of the DD-214. It must be an original. If you have lost your original or it has been damaged, you may obtain a new original by calling 1-866-272-6272 or by going online to https://vetrecs.archives.gov.)
Just fill out a simple application form and the staff will take your photograph and issue you an ID card.
The whole process takes about 20 minutes and is free of charge. Please note the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office only issues Veteran’s ID cards to Monmouth County residents. If you live in another county, please see the Clerk in your county.
Thank you for your service to our great country!
