Monmouth County Fire Marshal

Monmouth County Fire Marshal Kevin StoutKevin Stout began his fire service career in the Howell Township Fire Department No. 1, Adelphia, in 1978 and is a Life Associate Member. He served as a founding member of the Howell Township Fire Bureau, Fire Arson Investigation Unit from 1990 to 1995. Kevin has also been a Wildland Firefighter for the NJ Forest Fire Service since 1980, serving both in state and on out of state deployments, is presently a District Fire Warden, and is a certified Wildland Fire Investigator and Instructor. He is a member of the Neptune Hose Co., Long Branch Fire Department, and is presently serving as Chief of the City of Long Branch Fire Department.

Kevin joined the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office in 1995 as the first Fire Arson Investigator and was appointed as a Deputy Fire Marshal in 1996. In 2016 he was appointed as the Monmouth County Fire Marshal.  He has received numerous commendations and awards during his firefighting and investigative career, and is a graduate of the New York State Fire Academy and National Fire Academy.
