Asbury Park & Ocean Twp. - Sunset Avenue Bridge (O-10)
Monmouth County is proposing to replace the existing Bridge O-10 on Sunset Avenue over Deal Lake to improve safety and access. Due to its age, it has deteriorated over time and with substantial chipping and cracking, routine maintenance can no longer address the deficiencies.
On January 29, 2015, Monmouth County, in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority and the New Jersey Department of Transportation, will be hosting two Public Information Center meetings to inform local residents, officials, business and the general public of the Replacement of Monmouth County Bridge O-10 on Sunset Avenue over Deal Lake between the Township of Ocean and the City of Asbury Park.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the construction staging, detour and schedule. It is anticipated that the bridge will be closing and a detour in place on or about January 31, 2015 through May 2016. Staff will be on hand to answer questions. The public is invited and encouraged to attend either or both meetings
