Time is running out to Vote By Mail!
FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon reminds all registered voters that time is running out to apply to vote in this year’s general election by mail in ballot.
Registered voters who wish to vote by mail must complete an application for Vote By Mail Ballot, which may be obtained from the County Clerk’s new voter assistance website at
www.MonmouthCountyVotes.com or by calling 732-431-7790.
Applications sent by mail must be received by the County Clerk by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Any voter may apply in person or by designated messenger at the County Clerk’s Office, 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold Township, NJ 07728, up until 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 2.
The County’s election offices are open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended hours on Friday, Oct. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Any voter can vote by mail for any reason,” Hanlon said, “there is no reason to forget, get too busy or have to deal with inclement weather. And most importantly, every valid vote cast by mail will be included in the election results. Residents do not have to worry that their vote will not be counted.”
All voted mail-in ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections office at 300 Halls Mill Road in Freehold Township by the 8 p.m. close of polls on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
“Voting has never been easier,” said Hanlon. “So vote early, vote by mail and make sure your vote is counted.”
