What is the Monmouth County Greentable?

A periodic meeting to bring together individuals, groups, and government representatives that are working to preserve, improve and manage open space and farmland. An opportunity to share experiences, expectations, information, and ideas. A chance to learn from past, present, and future local open space projects. A forum to network and foster communication and partnerships.

The Monmouth County Greentable has covered numerous topics since its inception in 2002 including programs about open space and farmland preservation, stream corridor protection, historic preservation, recreational master planning, public access to waterfront, wildlife conservation, outdoor classrooms and community gardens and the horse racing industry.

The Monmouth County Greentable is led by volunteers serving on a steering committee represented by the Monmouth County Park System, the Monmouth County Farmland Preservation Program, NJ DEP Green Acres Program, Matawan Borough, and Monmouth Conservation Foundation. Contact a Steering Committee member to obtain more information, suggest a future topic, or to notify us of a change to your email address.
