Time is running out to register to vote in primary
May 18 is the deadline – June 8 is primary day
FREEHOLD – The deadline is fast approaching for those wishing to vote in the June 8 primary election. Registration must be completed by May 18.
Residents may register at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office, 300 Halls Mills Rd., Freehold Township, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Tuesday, May 18 the office will remain open until 9 p.m. If you prefer to register in the town in which you reside, call your municipal clerk for the hours and the location to register. In either case, a driver’s license and one other form of identification that lists your current address must be presented when registering in person.
All U.S. citizens at least 18 years of age by Primary Day, and not incarcerated, on probation or parole, are eligible to vote.
If you will be unable to vote in person on the June 4 primary, you may want to vote by mail. To do this, you must file a
Vote By Mail application form with the County Clerk’s Office no later than Tuesday, June 1.
