Time is running out to register to vote in primary
Jan. 15 is the deadline – Feb. 5 is primary day

FREEHOLD – The deadline is fast approaching for those wishing to vote in the Feb. 5 presidential primary. Registration must be completed by Jan. 15.

Residents may register at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office, 300 Halls Mills Rd., Freehold Township, until 9 p.m. Jan. 15. If registering in the town in which you reside, call your municipal clerk for the hours and the location. In either case, a driver’s license and one other form of identifi cation that lists a current address must be presented when registering in person.

All U.S. citizens at least 18 years old by Primary Day, and not incarcerated, on probation or parole, are eligible to vote.

Save some time by downloading a copy of the New Jersey Voter Registration form, filling it out beforehand and taking it with you when you to register. The form can be found on the County Clerk’s page of the Monmouth County Web site at www.visitmonmouth.com to print a copy.
