Time is running out to register to vote
October 13th is the deadline
FREEHOLD – The deadline to register to vote is fast approaching for Monmouth County residents wishing to participate in the Nov. 3 general election. If you have not previously registered to vote, you must register by Oct. 13.
You can register in person at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office, 300 Halls Mills Rd., Freehold Township, from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The office will remain open until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, for last minute voter registrations.
Save some time by downloading a copy of the New Jersey voter registration application, filling it out before hand and taking it with you when you go to register. The form can be found on the County Clerk’s section of the Monmouth County Web site at
www.visitmonmouth.com.
You can also register by mail by downloading, completing and mailing the New Jersey voter registration application. Or, you can register in the town where you live. You will need to call your municipal clerk for the hours and the location.
No matter how you register, you will be asked to provide your New Jersey driver’s license number or Motor Vehicle Commission non-driver identification number or Social Security number on the voter registration application.
You can register to vote in Monmouth County if:

you are a U.S. citizen
- you will be at least 18 years old by the next election
- you will be a resident of the State of New Jersey and Monmouth County 30 days prior to the election
- you are not currently incarcerated, on probation or parole because of a felony conviction.
