Job Fair at Brookdale Community College
Connecting employers with employees just got easier
Monmouth County and partners schedule job fair on Oct. 20
FREEHOLD – Employers looking to hire qualified workers are invited to attend a job fair at Brookdale Community College scheduled for Oct. 20.
The Monmouth County Division of Economic and Workforce Development, an arm of the county’s Department of Economic Development and Tourism, is partnering with the Jersey Shore Association of Human Resources and Brookdale Community College to offer employers a unique opportunity to connect with one of the nation’s best labor forces.
The job fair will be held at Brookdale’s Lincroft campus, 765 Newman Springs Rd., from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20. It is free to both prospective employees as well companies seeking access to talented residents in every discipline, from hospitality and health care to telecommunications, computer sciences, finance and education and everything in between.
“We are providing great seminars for job seekers to help them put their best foot forward, as well as help them achieve financial stability while searching for a job,” said Amy Fitzgerald, director of the Division of Economic and Workforce Development.
Registration is free. To obtain additional information or to register as a participating employer call (732) 431-7470, or email the department at econdev@co.monmouth.nj.us.
The job fair comes on the heels of the creation of the Office of the Business Advocate, which works one-on-one with business people to resolve issues that may be impeding business success, and the county’s BizConnect program – a series of business resource information programs – designed to help local businesses find the necessary resources to help them thrive in today’s troubling economy.
The Office of the Business Advocate can be reached by telephone at 800-523-2587 or by email at businessadvocate@co.monmouth.nj.us.
“The county continues to redirect its resources to be more responsive to the needs of the business community,” said John Ciufo, administrative department director for Planning, Economic Development and Regulatory Affairs. “This job fair is one way we are helping people and the business community during these very difficult economic times.”
