County newsletter provides info and insight 

FREEHOLD –  Monmouth County's 2009 summer newsletter – “Monmouth In Focus” has gotten a little bit greener while it continues to provide information about county projects and programs that help residents keep up with county news.
 
“As part of the county’s efforts to go green and save money, residents are receiving this newsletter by email or they can pick-up a copy at locations throughout Monmouth County,” said Freeholder Director Barbara J. McMorrow. “Residents can sign up for the county’s free email newsletter subscription list, stay in the know about county activities, events, and plans and help us continue to reduce costs.”
 
The latest issue has news and information about local stay-cation alternatives, the county’s recently adopted strategic plan, funding for road and bridge projects and BizConnect services.

Limited printed copies of “Monmouth In Focus” are available at locations throughout the county including all Monmouth County municipalities, libraries, chambers of commerce and senior centers. Copies are also available at county offices such as the Economic Development and Tourism, Office on Aging, Consumer Affairs, the County Clerk’s Office, the Thompson Park Visitor Center and the Department of Public Information.

“The newsletter is an important vehicle to let residents know what’s going on in their county,” said William K. Heine, director of the Department of Public Information. “Residents can join the email subscription list by visiting the county Web site at https://co.monmouth.nj.us/NewsSubscription.aspx.”

The newsletter, prepared by the county’s Department of Public Information, aims to direct residents to the county’s Web site where they can find information on the numerous services Monmouth County offers its residents, as well as other important information.  As always, current and past issues of “Monmouth In Focus” and information about county services are available on the County's website at www.visitmonmouth.com.
