County to host roundtable energy forum
Towns and residents to get info on sustainable, 
renewable energy options

LINCROFT – Industry experts on sustainable and renewable energy will offer ideas, incentives and information at the Monmouth County Planning Board Spring Energy Forum at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 at Brookdale Community College’s Warner Student Life Center, 765 Newman Springs Road.

The forum, “Making Choices Today for Energy Efficiency” is being presented free of charge and is open to residents, municipalities and businesses interested in finding ways to ensure a sustainable energy future for Monmouth County.

“The county is committed to bringing resources and information about sound financial and environmental decision making to our residents, local leaders and business owners,” Freeholder John D’Amico, liaison to the county Planning Board, said. “By hosting this forum the county can share and connect people with opportunities to improve our local and global quality of life.”

Topics of discussion will include teaching energy benchmarking in public schools, comprehensive design, construction and use of public buildings and the residential energy efficiency programs for homeowners.

The Spring Energy Forum is sponsored by the Environmental Council of the Monmouth County Planning Board and the Environmental and Physical Science Department at Brookdale Community College.
