Glimmer Glass Bridge on Brielle Road
to Open Friday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m.

Freehold, NJ—The Glimmer Glass Bridge (W-9) on Brielle Road between Brielle and Manasquan will open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Friday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m.

The bridge was closed November 16, 2017 after a scheduled routine maintenance identified the need for structural repairs, which are now completed.

“We are happy to announce this opening in time for residents and visitors to have easier access to Manasquan beach during the summer season,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering. “We apologize for the inconvenience the closing has caused and thank area residents for their patience.”

Boat traffic can expect a return to the normal, seasonal bridge opening schedule.
