Second season kicks off with a look ahead and a look behind
FREEHOLD – “Monmouth In Focus,” the county’s monthly televised program, is on the air this February with a look at the county’s 2009 Organization Day that took place on Jan. 6.
“The second season of Monmouth in Focus begins with at a look at what residents can expect from the Board of Chosen Freeholders in 2009,” Freeholders Director Barbara J. McMorrow said. “People can tune in to find out about some of the formalities of Organization Day and to hear about the challenges and opportunities involved in planning and managing a county that is home to more than 659,000 people.
“The show includes interviews with each of the freeholders speaking about the current financial situation in our nation and our county,” McMorrow said. “Together, the five elected county freeholders are ready to roll-up our sleeves and get to work on how best to efficiently and effectively deliver county services and programs to our residents and businesses. These are times that require us to listen, gather information, study the facts and do what is right and best for the county now and in the future.”
The show is a half-hour program with two, 12-minute segments. Each segment features a different aspect of county government. Shows that aired during the first season of Monmouth In Focus looked at the county library system, Park System, Sheriff’s Office, Human Services, Reclamation Center, bridges and roads and Mosquito Commission. All segments of Monmouth In Focus may be viewed on the county’s Web site at
