Monmouth County freeholders set meeting dates
First 2009 meetings set for Jan. 6
FREEHOLD – At 11 a.m. on Jan. 6, 2009 the 2008 Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a Sine Die meeting in the Hall of Records. This final business meeting of 2008 is held to conclude financial, purchasing and other business matters. The Latin term Sine Die means the final adjournment of a legislative session, without adjourning to a specific time or date; literally it means “adjournment without a day.” The term is most commonly used to signify the final adjournment of a session of Congress or State Legislature.
At 4 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2009 the Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold its annual organization meeting at the Monmouth County Police Academy at 2000 Kozloski Rd. On the agenda will be the swearing in of Lillian G. Burry and Amy Mallet as members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
