Freeholders honor Keyport First Aid
Present certificate of recognition
KEYPORT, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders honored Keyport First Aid for being recognized as the 2014 “First Aid Squad of the Year” by the State of New Jersey.
“Emergency service volunteers make themselves available all hours of the day and night—and those nights get tough,” said Deputy Director Serena DiMaso, who serves as an active member of the Holmdel First Aid Squad. “The volunteers of Keyport First Aid have shown incredible strength, compassion and skill for more than 85 years and are truly deserving of being named First Aid Squad of the Year.”
Since 1927, Keyport First Aid has provided emergency services to the residents of Keyport.
In 2000, the Keyport First Aid developed a youth program to train students from eighth to twelfth grade who want to volunteer in emergency services. Today, the Cadet Squad has 60 members.
The Freeholders presented Keyport First Aid with a certificate of recognition at their regular public meeting on May 28 in Keyport.
