Freeholders honor St. John Vianney state champs

Girls basketball team wins state title

 

FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders recognized the St. John Vianney Lancers girls basketball team for winning the 2015 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Non-Public A Girls Basketball Championship. The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders presents certificates of recognition to the St. John Vianney girls basketball team for winning the 2015 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) Non-Public A Girls Basketball Championship at their workshop meeting on April 23 in Freehold, NJ.
“These dedicated young women should be very proud of their State Championship title,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Serena DiMaso. “Through hard work and dedication, they have brought honor to their schools, their families and the entire County.”

Led by Head Coach, Dawn Karpell, the Lancers roster includes Abby Anderko, Courtney Dobrzynski, Kellie Crouch, Emily Uribe, Julia Ramos, Riley Kehoe, Kimi Evans, Paxton Reddington, Kelly Campbell, Zoe Pero, Madison Doring, Gabrielle Camponegro, Gigi Caponegro, Tina Lebron, Megan Furch and Vanessa Pinho.

At their workshop meeting on April 24, the Freeholders presented the team members with certificates of recognition.

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, founded in 1918, is a voluntary, non-profit organization made up of 433 accredited public, private and non-public high schools in the state. The NJSIAA conducts tournaments, and crowns champions in thirty one sports.
