“This is a great opportunity for residents to honor our veterans and see everything that the Veterans Services Office has available for Veterans and their families,” said Freeholder John P. Curley, liaison to the County’s VSO. “The event is also a chance to meet the dedicated staff.”

Participating in the 2015 Veterans Open House will be organizations and service providers that offer a wide range of services to Veterans. Invited to participate are: Veterans Affairs (VA), Vet2Vet, Heroes on the Water, the Vet Center, Honor Flight, the American Red Cross and Brookdale Community College.

The event will feature a “Missing Man” observance, military vehicle and equipment displays and live music.  Free refreshments will also be available.

“The Monmouth County VSO works diligently with other veterans’ organizations and military bases to ensure our veterans get the benefits to which they are entitled,” said Sue Moleon, the County Director of Veterans Services. “We also ensure that our veterans are kept up to date on the most current information from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the state Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.”

Veterans are encouraged to stop by or call the VSO office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The office is located at 3000 Kozloski Rd. in Freehold and the phone number is 732-683-8675.  Information about the VSO and its services are also available on the County website at www.visitmonmouth.com.
