Emergency closure on Havens Bridge Road

County crews will repair roadway in Howell

 

HOWELL, NJ – Monmouth County Department of Public Works and Engineering crews are on scene for an emergency closure of Havens Bridge Road between Adelphia-Farmingdale Road (CR 524) and Casino Drive.

County crews will be evaluating the damage to determine the extent of the damage and the amount of time to complete the repair work.

Havens Bridge Road will be open to local traffic only up to the point of the closure. All other motorists should follow the posted detours.

“County crews will be working to complete the work necessary to return the road to working order,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “The County understands the inconvenience that this closure may have on the motoring public in Farmingdale and we will work to get Havens Bridge Road reopened as quickly as possible.”

In total, the County maintains of approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
