County announces
2015 paper shredding days
Opportunities to dispose of old documents safely
FREEHOLD, NJ – Monmouth County has scheduled nine
2015 Paper Shredding events in local communities so that Monmouth County residents have opportunities to get rid of old documents and confidential files safely.
All shredding events will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as follows:
- Saturday, March 21 – Atlantic Highlands, Harbor Tennis Court Parking Lot 2, 2 Simon Lake Dr.
- Sunday, April 26 – Marlboro Municipal Complex, 1979 Township Dr.
- Sunday, May 3 – Manasquan, Fourth Avenue Parking Lot
- Saturday, May 16 – Red Bank, 90 Monmouth St.
- Saturday, June 20 – Upper Freehold Municipal Building, 314 Route 539
- Saturday, Aug. 8 – Long Branch High School, 404 Indiana Ave.
- Saturday, Oct. 17 – Colts Neck Municipal Complex, 124 Cedar Ave.
- Saturday, Nov. 7 – Matawan, 54 Middlesex Rd.
- Saturday, Dec. 5 – Holmdel Department of Public Works, 14 Crawfords Corner Rd.
“We are happy to offer these events for responsible paper disposal which will help residents reduce the risk of identity theft,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Serena DiMaso. “The County continues to be proactive in removing recyclables from our waste stream and we encourage residents to do their part by making use of these events and all other county services for proper waste disposal.”
County residents may bring up to 100 lbs. to be shredded. The shredding event will stop once the shredding truck is full. All papers will be shredded on location in the mobile truck. Documents should be free of large binder clips; staples and paper clips may be left on documents.
This is a project of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders and 2015 partner municipalities of Atlantic Highlands, Colts Neck, Holmdel, Long Branch, Manasquan, Marlboro, Matawan, Red Bank and Upper Freehold.
