County Bridge MA-14 project
to be topic of meetings

Two information sessions scheduled in December

 

KEYPORT, NJ – The public information meeting about the planned replacement of County Bridge MA-14 over Matawan Creek located between Keyport and Aberdeen, is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Keyport Borough Hall, 70 West Front St.

 

A second public information meeting will be held in Aberdeen from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8 at the Aberdeen Township Public Works Building, 147 Lenox Rd.

 

There will be a brief project status presentation at each meeting at 7 p.m.

 

These meetings are being held to update the public on the status of the final design phase and the proposed construction phase.  The public is invited to attend the open house format meetings and ask questions regarding the project.

 

“Monmouth County is planning to replace the bridge on Amboy Avenue/West Front Street (CR-6) that crosses over Matawan Creek,” Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone said. “People who are unable to attend the meeting can visit the County website at www.visitmonmouth.com to learn more about this project.”

 

Transportation agencies involved in the project include the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the NJ Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.

 

Written comments and completed Pedestrian Mobility Questionnaires will be accepted through Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.
