Glimmer Glass bridge maintenance Monday

One-day closure for span that connects Brielle and Manasquan

BRIELLE, NJ –Routine maintenance repairs on the Glimmer Glass Bridge (W-9) along Fisk Avenue between Brielle and Manasquan were postponed from earlier this week and have been rescheduled, weather permitting, to Monday, June 16 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

To perform these repairs, the Monmouth County Division of Bridges will close the bridge’s roadway.

“Monmouth County prides itself on safety, especially with its movable bridges,” said Freeholder Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the County’s Department of Public Works and Engineering. “This work must be done and we are working to limit the inconvenience.”

The bridge closure will not affect marine traffic.
