Gardening shortcuts workshop

Free session May 13 at County Connection

 

NEPTUNE, NJ – The Monmouth County Office on Aging will present a workshop entitled “Great Gardening Shortcuts” on Tuesday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 pm at the Monmouth County Connection, 3544 State Highway 66.

 

This program is for gardeners of all experience levels. Master Gardener Bernard Dickman will discuss how to save time and money when planting a garden. Learn what to do with leftover vegetation, how to avoid common mistakes and how to get the most out of your plants with a minimal amount of effort.

 

All programs are free and open to all Monmouth County residents, but advance registration is required. To register, please call 732-303-2828. 

 

The Monmouth County Connection is located in the strip mall at 3544 State Highway 66 in Neptune, adjacent to the Home Depot and across the street from Walmart. The office offers a variety of services including passports, passport photos, free notary public, veterans’ IDs, election/voter information, senior and veterans’ services, public access computers and more.

 

The office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The County Connection is under the direction of County Clerk M. Claire French and is supported by the Board of Chosen Freeholders.
