Freeholders recognize local farm for generosity
Boards cites many years of donations to local food banks
FREEHOLD, NJ – The Monmouth County Board of Freeholders presented a certificate to Puglisi Farms, of Howell Township, for their long history of community involvement through volunteerism and donations.

The freeholders presented the certificate to John, Michael and Paul Puglisi at their public freeholder meeting held at the Howell Township Municipal Building on April 25.
“Puglisi Farms is a prime example of the generosity of the residents and business owners in Monmouth County,” said Freeholder John P. Curley. “The Board has been sponsoring a food drive for the entire month of April and we are proud to recognize the Puglisi family for their outstanding efforts to end hunger as we continue to strive to collect food donations to assist the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.”
The family owned and operated Puglisi Farms has been a staple of Howell Township for more than sixty years. The farm has dedicated their time and donated their products to the community in an effort to combat hunger.
“Each day, hunger is experienced in every community across our nation, and the considerable efforts that the wonderful people of Puglisi Farms put forth are greatly appreciated and make a difference in thousands of lives,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone. “With a commitment to ending hunger in our community, Puglisi Farms has, over the years, donated more than eighty thousand eggs to local food banks.”
