Two distribution centers to continue operation
Hazlet and Oceanport locations open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

FREEHOLD, NJ - Monmouth County is continuing to operate two supply distribution sites for those affected by the Superstorm Sandy. Both locations will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

 

The two distribution sites are:

  • Holy Family Church – 910 Route 36 Hazlet
  • Monmouth Park – Oceanport Ave., Oceanport

 

The location in Manasquan at Peddler’s Village ceased operation earlier today.

 

The donation center set up at Thompson Park in Lincroft located at 805 Newman Springs Rd. will be accepting donations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

 

Towels and blankets are among the most frequently sought items. Other items still being sought for those affected by the storm are:

 

·       Batteries (particularly D and C)

·       Work gloves & rubber gloves

·       Rakes, shovels

·       Goggles

·       Heavy duty trash bags

·       Mops, brooms sponges

·       Hand sanitizer

·       Dish detergent

·       Laundry detergent

·       Disinfectants

·       Personal hygiene items
