County curfew continues

in coastal Monmouth County towns

 

The curfew in many of Monmouth County’s coastal communities remains in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

 

“The curfew continues for select coastal communities to assist our law enforcement operations, ensure the safety of our residents and also help meet the needs of our communities,” said Sheriff Shaun Golden.

 

The curfew is still in effect for 19 coastal municipalities: Allenhurst, Avon-By-The-Sea, Belmar, Deal, Interlaken, Hazlet, Highlands, Keansburg, Keyport, Lake Como, Loch Arbour, Manasquan, Matawan, Monmouth Beach, Neptune Township, Ocean Grove, Sea Bright, Sea Girt and Union Beach.

 

The curfew has been lifted for eight coastal communities: Aberdeen, Asbury Park, Atlantic Highlands, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Long Branch, Middletown and Spring Lake.

 

In towns where the county-wide curfew remains in effect, only essential personnel may be outside and on the roads from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This includes emergency service personnel and those who are responsible for critical services within the county.
